Team leads

An advocacy day lead supports a team of parents through the day as they meet with their legislators. Leads usually recruit 4 to 7 people onto their team, though that is not required.

Getting there

We will do our best to run buses where enough people want seats, and to set up carpools where we cannot fill a bus.

Bringing students

Students are welcome to join us. Letting the school know about the absence is up to the parent. We are not able to offer childcare for younger kids.

Lunch

Lunch is provided.

T-shirt

Everyone gets a shirt for the day.

Advocacy day training

Everyone who comes to the Capitol attends one training first. They are all on Zoom, and they cover the same material, so pick whichever date works. The training runs one hour for everyone. Team leads stay on for a further 30 minutes. Your Zoom link comes with your confirmation email.

We are finalizing the training dates. We will email them to you as soon as they are set.
